The use of slow-motion is certainly pretty – especially when used in conjunction with well-controlled lighting (see flashing reveal of light behind blonde dancer) – though in the end it seems to be a case of style without substance. A one-effect pony, so to speak.
A one-effect pony, for sure, but a pretty one to watch gallop. I agree that it would have been nice to see the director take things somewhere a little more interesting, but for the meantime, I guess I’ll have to be happy with super slo-mo footage of hipster girls making out.
